Like Father, Like Son...

...or cat! :)

And speaking of the father, check out our two new additions to the blue room... someday he's going to need his own entire Superman room!

Camera Craziness

Ok, so I have a new camera, and I'm on vacation and home all day long... you do the math! :) These are some of my favorites from the last couple of days! Until I have real kids, my pets will have to be my surrogates for pictures! Enjoy...

Here's The Bella...

So what if my blanket is supposed to be in my kennel? I can see better out here.

She sleeps!

Rub-a-dub-dub, one dog in the tub...

And The Mater...

Price Christmas

Well... it was the typical Price family Christmas morning! :) We got there really early and had breakfast... and tortured Ruth by dragging out breakfast, since we couldn't open presents until everyone was done! :) We passed out presents, and then it was "rip and tear time," a classic Price family-wrapping-paper frenzy!

After the frenzy passed, it was time to laze around, play with new presents, and mess with the dogs and cat!

Afterwards, we played a couple of games of Killer Uno, which Ruth dominated on, while the rest of us ended up with more cards then we could hold in one hand!
And, clearly, I have been enjoying my new camera, since I have more pictures of Christmas then anyone should! I think I took close to 200 pictures after I opened my present! I need help... but, all in all, it was an awesome Christmas with all the parts of my family!

Christmas Day!

Well, there's nothing like Christmas at home! For me, there's nothing like waking up Christmas morning at home. Not that we really slept much the night before; we never do. We mostly just lay in bed torturing each other about the presents! Anyway... we did sleep a little, so we woke up and headed downstairs for presents! Josh obviously cleaned up... actually, he won in the present giving department... he got me a new camera, a nice one with a zoom and lots of other toys that I haven't figured out how to use yet! I am so excited! It definitely beat the overcoat I got Josh, although he seemed to like it. Anyway... we got the cat a teepee with attached feathers, which he loved. And, his best present was a squeaky mouse that he lost all dignity over! He rolled over on his back and was grabbing onto it with all his paws. Anyway... speaking of losing all dignity, Isabelle got a ball on a rope... and lost it. If I can figure otu how, I'm going to put a video of her playing with it. But, let's just say, it is no longer nice and clean, it's a total mudball. And I am having a blast with my new camera! Josh got (shocker) two Superman dvds, and we've watched both of them already! :) Anyway, we had a great time opening presents and watching the "kids" play with their new toys. Imagine what we're going to be like when we actually have kids! :) Anyway... after playing fo awhile, we headed out to my parent's house, for our 4th Christmas! :)

Looten Christmas

Other than Saturday night, we spent the weekend at the Looten house! As always, it was an entertaining weekend full of stories and laughter! Grandma and Tim came down on Sunday after church, and we did presents after lunch. Dad gave us all Springfield Cardinals hats (for the boys) or ear warmers (for the girls), and some really nice "Chicken Poop" chapstick! We had a really great time, and my favorite part is always watching people open their gifts. The best was Dad, who didn't have a clue what we had gotten him! :) Anyway, it was great to spend Christmas Eve how it's meant to be spent- with family!

Christmas Number 1!

Well, we headed to Grandma De and Grandpa Don's house for Christmas with the extended family on Saturday. We really had a blast! I'm surprised every time I go by how much my cousins have changed. Marra is really growing up, it doesn't seem that long ago that I spent Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's with her asleep on my shoulder as a baby! The one that really shocked me was Meghan! She had just gotten her hair highlighted, and she looked so old and pretty! I wish I lived closer, and could spend more time with them. But we had a great time, and I enjoy spending time with everyone just sitting and visiting! :) I think everyone had a merry start to their Christmas!

Winter Walk

Ok, so this is the 4th time I've tried to post this... hopefully this time it will work! :) Anyway, the weather has been so beautiful here, with temps in the 60s on Saturday. So Josh and I decided to take our poor, neglected puppy for a walk on the trail. We always walk about a mile and a half until we get to this cool old railroad bridge over Perche Creek. We had a great time, except for Isabelle's new fear of the bridge. She doesn't mind being on the bridge, as long as we don't try to make her go anywhere near the edge. If we try, she flattens herself like a pancake and digs in her back paws. Which is not so good when there is a bicyclist bearing down on us at a high rate of speed! :) Anyway... it was a great, relaxing way to spend an afternoon and, the best part happened when we got back home! We let The Bella in for a pig ear on her rug and she fell asleep!! She was laying on her rug not moving and we were actually worried about her. I had to pet her several times before she woke up. It was awesome! :) Maybe she really is calming down now that she's 2 years old! I can dream, can't I ?

YAY!

Well... some of you may know already, but in case you don't... Josh finished his Greek class and all his tests have been graded. His final score is.... a 97%!!! So he did an awesome job! He worked very hard on all of his homework and exams, and he deserves that A! Way to go sweetie!

Christmas Kitty

I know you're all probably tired of seeing pictures of Truman... but I couldn't resist these! Clearly, Christmas is Truman's favorite holiday! There are boxes to jump in, wrapping paper to play with, presents to hide with, and a tree to stalk. What more could a kitty ask for? And, yes, there is a cat in the 3rd picture! :)

Happy Day!

One of my oldest friends got married this past weekend. Sarah and I went to school together from Midway on, and were pretty close friends most of that time. Even when we weren't hanging out all the time, she was always one of those friends that you can see after a long time and talk to like you've never been apart. Now she is finishing up her Masters in Education, and hoping to get a job at CPS, so we may be seeing more of her! She spent a year right after I got married teaching at a mission school in Bolivia and met her husband to be there. So he is, naturally, Bolivian. That meant that the ceremony was done in English and Spanish, which made it really cool. The translator did a great job, and it was a very God-centered and light-hearted wedding ceremony. The reception was really pretty as well, and the 3 little flower girls (and the 2 year old ring bearer) kept dancing by themselves on the dance floor while everyone ate dinner. You could tell that they just loved their frilly white dresses and felt absolutely beautiful in them; they kept twirling and spinning each other around. It was so cute! :) The bummer of the night was that Josh and I had to leave the reception early because the bank was having their Christmas party at the same time, so we had to make an appearance there. We did run into lots of people we knew, but I would have rather stayed at the reception! Oh well, I had a great time celebrating with Sarah, and I hope we get to hang out with her and her new husband... once he learns English! :) Posted by Picasa

Ribbon?

What ribbon? :) Repeat this to yourself... there is no ribbon. Resist the ribbon... This is Truman's Achilles heel... he tries, but he cannot resist the satin ribbon on my robe. He just looses his mind over it. I just thought this was too cute! :)

Surprise Concert

So, yesterday I'm sitting at school working with Jamie (we had an early release day and time to collaborate) and my cell rang, and it was Mom... apparently my aunts and uncles in Illinois grew up with a guy who moved to Nashville to be a country star. Well, he made it (sorta) and he was touring with Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, and Jake Owen because he was writing songs with Jake Owen (he wrote "Yeehaw") and he wanted to know if we wanted to go to the concert!!! So, of course, we said yes, and Mom, Ruth, Josh and I got to go! The seats were amazing, and we got to sit and talk with Kendall. We weren't on the floor, but we were in the first section, straight back from the stage, six rows from the front. So they were AWESOME, and the show was awesome, too! All 3 artists were really good, and we all had a great time. I've never had anything like that happen before... so cool! And, of course, one of the best parts of a concert is the people watching, and there was some prime people-watching at this concert! You saw just about everything... from the girls in short skirts, knee-high cowboy boots and sweaters (it was 4 degrees, literally) to the two girls who were wearing LAMPSHADES ON THEIR HEADS!!! Quite entertaining, all of it. And once the concert actually started, we could really watch all the people who were totally drunk dance like idiots... including the two drunk ladies down the row from us who were... let's just say very into dancing. All in all we had a great evening, and being exhausted all day today was totally worth it! :) Thanks again, Kendall! (Not that he reads my blog, but, you know)

More Snow Pictures

A few more pictures from the snow days... for those of you not in Columbia, there is still snow on the ground up here! And it's still several inches deep, and some roads still have ice on them. It is supposed to finally warm up tomorrow, but it's been a cold, cold week. All week we've been having inside recess, and even though it was only 33 degrees outside today we were OUT!!! Anyway, the top two pictures are from shoveling Grandma's driveway... one is obviously Josh doing a kamikaze in the snow, and the other just shows how deep that snow was! The bottom picture was taken by Ruth out at Mom & Dad's. Anyway, thought you'd enjoy!
