Ok, so this is really the story that I thought had to be shared on the blog... it goes something like this... We have a cat, Truman (see the lovely picture above), and he is rather worthless. It seems that he spends most of his time sleeping. What I wouldn't give to be a cat... but I digress...
Last night, before we went to bed, Josh and I heard some rather suspicious rustling in the laundry room. We tried to pinpoint the sound (assuming it was a mouse) but couldn't find it, so we went on to bed. Little did we know that our seemingly worthless cat would be on the prowl during the night. I was sleeping peacefully, until about 2:30 in the morning, when Josh jumped out of bed and started yelling "THE MOUSE IS IN OUR BED!" Needless to say, that woke me right up, and I jumped out of bed and we stripped covers and pillows off of it. Unfortunately, no mouse. Then Truman started freaking out in the guest room, so Josh raced off to assist in the mouse hunt. Josh (with Zorro sword in hand) and Truman proceeded to chase the mouse around the guest room, while I listened from the bed. My opinion was that the mouse was no longer in the bed, therefore no longer a concern (no one thinks clearly at 2:30 am). Finally the mouse was caught, and removed, and we went back to bed. I'd really like to thank Truman for carrying the mouse up the stairs and I'm sure I'll be dreaming of mouse feet all night tonight... I love having pets.
